The most important factor in creating a pure work of art is not the creator of that work. Creation does not happen by force. Creation spontaneously boils from the subconscious of an artist and suddenly a work is born. Creation originates from the world of light and pure nature. Exactly what Elizabeth Martina Bishop does. The magnificent and pure works of this artist are similar to the holy essence of God. It comes from a world of light and beyond physics. Traces of Elizabeth’s life and memories can be seen in her work. Clear and without preteens. This is exactly what the filmmaker is trying to achieve. The audience is immersed in the pure emotions and poetry of Elizabeth while watching this documentary. Elizabeth’s character, like her works, revives an awareness and awakening for us, and we are constantly moving within Elizabeth’s character and her works. This is a clear and praiseworthy feature of this documentary.
But there is little bit improvement need in technical elements have an aesthetic identity. For example: the soundtrack is used or not have a uniform and balanced editing structure. It is suddenly cut and there is a kind of sloppiness in the images. And most importantly, we see all of the content in the form of a linear interview and reporting mode, which I think has misbalanced the depth of the work.
The subject of this documentary is definitely so brilliant and influential that my suggestion is to do the production and post-production process of this documentary again. This documentary is worth rebuilding with more features. The message of the documentary “A Poet’s Childhood” is certainly commendable and valuable. In a way, this documentary is the flirtation of the owner of the work with his works and with his audience.
